How to prepare for the draw
The evening before
- A light dinner, nothing fatty or fried
- No alcohol
In the morning
- Come fasting
- No smoking, coffee or sweet drinks
- Women's hormones ideally on day 3–5 of the cycle
Drink water
- Drink up to 1 litre of still water
- If you take medication regularly, tell us in advance
Self-pay blood tests in brief
Do I need a doctor's referral?
No. As a self-paying patient you choose the tests yourself and pay for them directly. A referral is only needed when insurance pays.
When and how do I get the results?
We send the results electronically. Most routine tests are ready within a few working days; specialised ones can take longer.
How much will I pay?
The sum of your chosen tests at the diag.cz laboratory prices plus 40 CZK for the blood draw, once per visit. The calculator above works out the total in advance.
Do I need to book?
Yes, sampling is by appointment — Monday to Friday 8:00–11:00, in ten-minute slots, so you do not wait. Book online or call +420 606 755 784.
What if a result is abnormal?
Always discuss your results with your doctor. If you do not have a GP, our clinic registers new patients with MUDr. Éva Bojčuk.
